  • Gina Pat Thank u

  • Sammy Sas So tell us about your early stage in life growing up?

  • Gina Pat Just like any child, growing up had its own challenge, especially from a polygamous home. But it was beautiful.

  • Sammy Sas So when did you realised you had a passion for music?

  • Gina Pat Music is inbuilt. You are born with it and you discover you can sing. And not just singing, but have great passion for it. Music is one thing you will wake me up from sleep, and I will sing effortlessly. I love music, I live for music.

  • Sammy Sas So tell us about the journey so far and major moments since the inception of your professional career?

  • Gina Pat Woww. It’s been a blessed and favoured one so far. God has been so faithful to me since the inception of my career. My major moments would be my first day at the studio. I couldn’t believe I was actually recording my own song. And of cause when I joined Fogmmon (fellowship of gospel music ministers of Nigeria). Being recognized amongst great people who had already made it in the gospel music industry and set paces for us to step in. Its indeed a dream come true and I don’t take it for granted at all. I give God praise for this privilege.

  • Sammy Sas Talking about Fogmmon, you recently performed at the Fogmmon Abuja, mid year Thanksgiving, so tell us how was the experience?

  • Gina Pat Hmmmm. No be small thing. Being given the privilege as the artiste of the month to perform before legends like Panama Percy Paul, Prince of the Niger Delta, Prince Asu Ekiye, Samsong, Solomon Lange, Elijah Oyelade and more great minds too numerous to mention, I couldn’t ask for more. It was heaven to me. It was my greatest experience.

  • Sammy Sas So with your experience so far, what do you think is the major challenge/problems in the Nigeria Gospel music industry?

  • Gina Pat I would say the major challenges would be marketing strategy. The industry is wide for everyone to soar. ‘Cause this days, the number of gospel ministers are increasing by day. Everyone wants to be heard and celebrated. One thing is having a song, another is creating awareness, management and marketing. But of cause, that is why you have Fogmmon. They just don’t give the Gospel music ministers opportunities to be known, they listen to your songs, put you right when there’s need, promote your songs. And also produce, market and gives you the opportunity to shine. And allow the Almighty Father to complete the rest.

  • Interesting.
  • Sammy Sas So do you see the Nigerian Gospel music industry going as far as the Grammy?

  • Gina Pat Amen oooo. Sooo sure about it.
