- Sammy Sas Pls can we meet you?
- Ehi Edwards A music minister and a business woman. A pastor and one of the worship leaders at the Shephards House Assembly Abuja, under Rev. Dr. Joshua Talena.
- Sammy Sas Tell us about your early days growing up?
- Ehi Edwards We saw the pain of serving God, in the 80s in Zaria where churches are burnt down and you still have to go to serve God. It was the real Christianity.
- Sammy Sas So when did you realised you wanted to breakout as a solo artiste from the “Family singers” and do music professionally?
- Ehi Edwards Am not breaking out am just the leader of d group. Family Singers are all individual artist on their own. Singing together or individually as the event demands. We all write, solo and got our songs eg. Our Elder brother got his CD out alone as an individual but we all still work together. We all travel to minister as a group as well as individual artist.
- Sammy Sas You did a song with “Sammie okposo”,abi?
- Ehi Edwards I thank God for Sammie Okposo for His encouragement as one of the legend’s and a top gospel artiste in Nigeria.
- Sammy Sas So with your experience in the Gospel music, what do you think is the major challenge faced in the industry?
- Ehi Edwards Well I believe the ability to move gospel music to the world is a major challange. We have been singing in church for God and for ourselves but the world needs to be blessed by gospel music too. Let it go out to affect lives. Just like the circular music affects and influences the church too.
- Sammy Sas So on a scale of 1-10 how much do you know your culture and tradition?
- Ehi Edwards As an Idoma lady, from Benue state we believe in culture, respect and home keeping values.
- Sammy Sas So which local meal can you prepare very well?
- Ehi Edwards Ha ha ha Well local meal from my place is Onihi and Ijangada soup. That’s Pounded yam and dry okro soup. And general native soup is Afang Soup from the south and Zabba Mengyan soup special soup from Zuru Kebbi State.
