WE ARE SONS NOT SERVANTS – Trem Devotional 20 September 2019
“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”
Romans 8:15 KJV
If under the law the people gave tithe of 10 percent; then under grace, 10 percent is too small, in view of the revelation that we now have. The Bible says in Romans 8:15-17 “We have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear but the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba Father. The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; …” This means we are partners together with Jesus in signing the cheque.
If servants who were under the law responded enthusiastically to God each time He demanded an offering from them, then those of us under grace should do much more. Giving is an act of spirituality. The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, because they are foolishness to him. Some people are allowing the social media to be where they feed from. You have been in Church for years and it is now social media that will feed you the Word of God? Something is wrong!
We have worked together. We have been partners for many years until now. And now that the glory is about to manifest, you are withdrawing your hand. You are now serving God with natural intelligence. Who lied to you?
Beloved, the Word of God is Spirit and Life. It is alive and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit, joints and marrow, it’s a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The Word penetrates all the entire being, spirit, soul, and body. It is only the Word that can touch everywhere and completely change you. Child of God, stop being led by the social media. Let the Word of God lead you. You are a son, not a servant and as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
